4A Chief Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator

The Town of Fallsburg, is seeking a full-time experienced and collaborative professional to fill the position of Chief Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator for its 3 Wastewater plants.

Job Requirements: Applicants must possess a minimum Grade 4A License. Applicants must possess the skills and experience to operate the wastewater treatment plant, oversee the wastewater collection and discharge system, and directly supervise the wastewater operators and mechanic. Progressively responsible experience in a Wastewater or Public Works environment with ten years of experience is preferred. Strong computer skills, experience with SCADA programs preferred. Valid motor vehicle license. Availability to work evenings and weekends. Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Town officials, employees, vendors, residents, and members of the public. Must also be team oriented and participate in the work of subordinates, including operation of equipment, as required to ensure proper operation of the wastewater system.
